On March 18, 2017 at 4:00 PM, the third discussion organized by the National Book Center – NDK was held at the Peroto Literary Club with the focus “Early Children’s Reading. Books for the Little Ones”. The discussion focused on what books are appropriate to read to children from their earliest age or even before they are even born. According to experts, in each age group, young “readers” should have the book designated for their age. However, according to experience, often different books fall into the hands of children and arouse their interest. However, both experts and mothers were of the same opinion – children should grow up with books and learn to read and respect them. Participants in the discussion were Mihaela Petrova – director of the National Book Center; Val Stoeva from the Children’s Books Foundation; Lyubov Mironova – author and educator; Irina Tencheva – journalist and Kapka Kaneva – artist and book illustrator. And from the audience, Yulia Spiridonova – writer and Prof. Dr. Albert Benbasat also spoke.
