On March 23, 2017, an exhibition of illustrations for the book “60 Sounds – Animals Around the World” by PUH Publishing House was opened in one of the galleries of the National School of Plastic Arts and Design “Acad. Dechko Uzunov” in Kazanlak. The author of the illustrations is Tsetsa Vitkova, a design teacher at the school. The total number of images presented is 300 and they were created within a year. 60 of them are published in the interactive edition for children, which combines sound and picture in one. “The task was to depict them as realistically as possible so that children could receive complete information about what nature has created,” says Ms. Vitkova. And indeed, each of the images is built on the principle of an encyclopedic illustration, with all animals looking for their character and characteristics, but at the same time an interesting composition, living environment and sound. Among the sea of foreign encyclopedias that have flooded the Bulgarian book market, this edition is no less in quality and informativeness, and the publisher Svetlana Kisyova has announced that the book will also be presented at the international book fair in Frankfurt.
