For the first time in more than 20 years, the Bulgarian reader will be able to meet the well-forgotten first children's book by the Bulgarian writer Yordan Radichkov, "Colorful Rug". All children will be able to get acquainted with the stories inspired by the writer's childhood on September 30 from 12:30 to 14:00 in the Children's and Youth Department of the Sofia Library on Slaveykov Square.
During the presentation of "Colorful Rug", parents and children will also be able to see the exhibition with the illustrations of the book by the artist Maria Valkova, organized jointly by the publishing house "Nike" and the Sofia Library. Along with this, children will be able to hear the stories from the book, which will be read for us by Tsveta Doycheva in the corners of the children's and youth center...
On the initiative of the Sofia Library and the publishing house "Nike", free library cards will be distributed to all young readers. All that is required is the presence of your child and a photo.
The book is a fruit not only of the author's imagination, but also of Radichkov's memories from his own childhood. Young and old readers will learn how the wall-breaking machine was invented, how many cats are needed to eat a whale, why the bag is hung on the pear, how to climb to heaven, what a snout is for, how to get to know the world, what frogs fight for and where the power of the sun comes from.
Come to the Sofia Library on Saturday to immerse yourself in the children's world of Radichkov and his incredible heroes!
