In 2017, the Fumetto Comix-Festival Luzern competition included artists from 58 countries, with Bangladesh, Cuba, Tajikistan and Peru participating for the first time. The theme of the competition this year is “Worlds”. It took Boris Pramatarov one month to draw his comic and the result is obvious – FIRST prize, which was announced two days ago.
Boris Pramatarov was born in Sofia, studied at the Iliya Petrov National Institute of Fine Arts, and then completed his bachelor’s degree at the National Academy of Arts, majoring in “Book and Printed Graphics”. He went to Belgium, where he did his master’s degree at the KASK & CONSERVATORIUM School of Arts in Ghent. He works on numerous international projects, and his style, which he managed to preserve and defend as a personal signature during his studies in Sofia, makes him a recognizable and valuable author.
