For the third year in a row, we have dedicated the month of May to letters. What does it actually mean to make logos/logotypes? Tell us about your process.

Creating a logo means getting as close as possible to the client’s goals – to help them create a successful business with a recognizable identity that accurately and clearly conveys its message. The logo is the intermediary between the business and the audience, and therefore it is of great importance to me to help build a strong connection between them, to make it work in the best possible way. It should not be forgotten that it is not only about the image of the business, but also about the image of the client - using a specific product or service, the client builds a desired image for himself. For this reason, the process is always interesting and different.

Is the logo/logotype an illustration?

A logo nowadays is a very broad and abstract concept. There are different logo styles, including one in which the sign is more illustrative than a concise, logical and graphically designed symbol. There is nothing wrong with that, of course. The most important thing is that it works optimally for the business, combined with a good brand identity.

What is the logo/logotype of what do you dream of creating?

I could not answer this question unequivocally and specifically. For me, every new project is exciting and interesting enough and I put all my passion and professionalism into it. So each next one is a dream project.

What do people most often NOT know about making a logo/logotype?

For me, the most important thing is that we should not consider the logo separately from the entire brand identity and concept of the business. Before we start creating a logo, we need to solve many other problems and questions that the business faces, the most important of which are what is the goal and what does it need to develop in the future; what is the client they are aiming for, as well as a bunch of other questions. I personally use a questionnaire that I send to the client before starting work. After the client fills in the necessary information, I already have the information I need to start working and create the best possible product that will work for his business.

Favorite examples that have inspired you in your work? (authors, works or similar, maybe a picture or two)

Good examples are everywhere around us and stand next to the bad ones. The most important thing is to be able to understand them – to be able to make the difference, sifting out the best for ourselves. What I have set as a goal as a professional and what I always strive for is to try to re-educate the audience, to put them in a better visual environment, regardless of whether it is online or offline. When people start to see only the good examples, those that are truly quality and valuable, then this goal of mine, and I am sure that of many of my colleagues, will be achieved and we will enjoy the simplicity, purity, concreteness and functionality around us.
