“Tsar” is an exhibition by Demita Cherneva, dedicated to emblematic and rare species of birds of prey.

The series includes 12 original watercolor works, presented with a clean aesthetic and a fine sense of detail, which collect nesting and occurring species of eagles and vultures in Bulgaria.

With almost scientific accuracy, each bird is depicted in a characteristic pose – perched, in complete peace. The exceptions are the Imperial Eagle and the Bearded Vulture – depicted in flight and on a larger scale, they suggest movement and power, becoming central accents of the exhibition.

“Tsar” is more than an exhibition – it is a personal tribute to nature, a visual archive of an endangered world, also carrying a conservation message – an invitation to the viewer to rethink the fragile balance between man and the wild.

Demita Cherneva graduated from the National Art High School "Tsanko Lavrenov" in Plovdiv and the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, majoring in Sculpture. In recent years, she has been actively working in the field of drawing and watercolor, with her themes often associated with wildlife and the animal world. She is currently working on the international project Central Asian Vultures, where through drawings she contributes to the visual identity and popularization of the conservation of vultures in Central Asia. "Tsare" is her first solo exhibition dedicated entirely to the birds of prey of Bulgaria.
