In more than 20 locations – Linz, Steyr, Alkoven, Traun and Steyrermühl – comics are presented as a diverse medium. NC once again shows the art of comics in various ways – from graphic novels, art comics, digital comics, to relatives such as graffiti, illustration, caricature, cartoon, animated film. Under the title “Next to Alice”, numerous comic creators this year adapt and interpret parts of “Alice in Wonderland” individually in the OÖ Kulturquartier Festival Center. In addition to Moki, the author of this year’s festival poster, other international guests are also participating: Akvile Magicdust, Maya Yonesho, Eve Joy Patzak & Peter Patzak (director of the cult series “Kottan ermittelt”), Valentina Zavoli, Eggy & Jacky, Jasmin Rehrmbacher, Nicolas Mahler.
In the general presentation of the group "Lohnzeichnergilde Oberösterreich" - an association of illustrators and artists from Upper Austria who exchange experience, inspiration and support, we also find the name of Mariyana Pasheva! The 17 members of the group show illustrations under the theme "The Hatter, His Strange Friends and the Holiday", with each artist presenting their own unique and characteristic style.
Mariyana participates with two illustrations "Alice" and "In the Garden of Talking Flowers"
The exhibition opened on March 15 and will continue until March 24.
