On February 18, 2017, at 4:00 PM, the Second Discussion, organized by the National Center for the Study of Literature, was held at the “Pen” club. The topic was “Scary Tales and Fictional Characters”. Mihaela Petrova, Lyubov Mironova, Radostina Nikolova and Albena Georgieva took part in the dialogue. The main focus this time was whether and what kind of scary tales should parents read to their children, whether children are really afraid of fairy tales and the scary characters in them and whether this affects their psyche in one way or another…. Milena Radeva joined the discussion with her work on “Scary Tales” for Softpress Publishing House and the children's publications she works on for foreign authors and publishers. M. Petrova announced that the National Center and “Literary Gazette” are announcing a competition for a children's book review, the main goal of which will be to create an awareness of criticism in Bulgaria. Children's Book Week will be held from June 1-7, 2017.
