The selection of the "Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children's Book Fair 2020"

The 57th edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair was supposed to start today. Since, as you all know, the Bologna Book Fair will not take place this year, this does not prevent us from trying to make you part of the atmosphere by showing you who this year’s artists were who made it to the final selection. The jury of the “Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children Book Fair 2020” consisting of Valerie Cussaguet (France), Enrico Fornaroli (Italy), Lorenzo Mattotti (Italy), Cathy Olmedillas (USA), Machiko Wakatsuki (Japan) had the difficult task of selecting 5 works by 76 artists from a total of 2574 illustrations, which arrived from 66 countries.

Here is the list of the selected 76 illustrators from 24 countries. In the list of applicants for this year’s selection, we also find three Bulgarian names – Maria Nalbantova, Anelia Pashova and Tatyana Stakhova.

You can find the works of each of the authors in the album on our Facebook page, and soon we will introduce you to the Bulgarian artists who dared to apply, and their works.
