Bologna may have been dropped from this year's program, but the National Children's Book Festival in Sliven will take place for the twenty-second time! In 2020, the dates of the event will be May 11-13, and the main driver of the celebration is the Regional Library "Sava Dobroplodni" in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sliven Municipality, Sliven District Administration, Bulgarian Book Association, DABC, etc.
Along with the numerous events organized within the framework of the festival, in order to provoke the imagination and creativity of children, a National Literary Competition and a National Competition for Making Theater Puppets of Favorite Literary Characters are held annually, and this year an International Student Illustration Competition on the theme "FROM THE FAIRYTALE WORLD OF VALERY PETROV" has been announced, in which many children and teenagers from all over the country and from Bulgarian communities abroad participate.
You can find more information about the competitions in the links, and we will be there to make you part of the celebration!
