On March 21 at 5:00 p.m., an exhibition of illustrations for the new edition of "The Little Prince" by the publishing house "Hermes", by artist Boris Stoilov, was opened in the gallery of the Municipal History Museum - Knezha. The idea for the exhibition was the director of the museum - Tsvetina Petrova. Her interest in new titles on the book market, as well as her love for a well-designed book, is the reason why "The Little Prince" was invited to the city. "I followed the path of "The Little Prince" from the publication of the book, to the organized exhibitions of Stoilov's illustrations and managed to contact him at the end of 2016. He willingly accepted to visit the museum's gallery, and we subsequently specified when the visit itself would be organized." Unfortunately, Mr. Stoilov was not present at the opening, as he is outside Bulgaria. “I decided to diversify the presentation of the exhibition to the local audience with a short theatrical sketch, presenting the meeting of the Little Prince with the businessman on the Fourth Planet and the conversation with them about the stars and the serious things in a person’s life. I always try to look for innovative and diverse ways to present a specific exhibition or other event in the gallery. I often work with children who come with great desire, and this time I entrusted the roles of the Little Prince and the businessman to two 12-year-old boys, who quite organically merged with the images,” Ms. Petrova told us.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Knezha, Ms. Kapka Miteva. The museum’s program in the coming weeks includes meetings with students dedicated to the exhibition and the ideas that Exupéry put into his magical work.

The first edition of "The Little Prince" (Le Petit Prince) was published in 1943 by Gallimard, the author of the work and the illustrations was Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. On January 1, 2015, the late author's 70-year copyright expired and publishers around the world had the opportunity to show their own Little Prince.
